Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026

What Largwit may not be used for, what you take on by bringing data onto it, what is owed to the people doing the work, and what happens when any of that is breached.

  1. 1Scope

    This policy applies to everyone who uses Largwit: customers, the people they invite, and anyone acting on their behalf. It forms part of the Terms of Service. A customer is responsible for the conduct of everyone they bring onto the platform.

  2. 2Bringing data onto the platform

    You must have the right to put data into Largwit and to have it processed as you intend. That means the rights or permissions to use it, and a lawful basis where it contains personal data.

    You must not upload:

    • data you do not have the right to process, or that you obtained in breach of somebody else’s terms;
    • child sexual abuse material, in any circumstance and for any stated purpose;
    • special category or otherwise sensitive personal data without telling us first, so the additional handling in the DPA applies;
    • payment card data, government identifiers or health records, unless specifically agreed in writing beforehand;
    • malware, or anything designed to compromise a system.
  3. 3What the platform may not be used for

    • Producing material that sexualises children, or that exists to facilitate violence against people.
    • Building surveillance or profiling of people by race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, health, disability or political opinion, for the purpose of targeting or suppressing them.
    • Deceiving people about who they are dealing with: impersonation, fabricated records, or synthetic material presented as genuine.
    • Work that is unlawful where it is performed, or where its output will be used.
    • Circumventing another platform’s access controls, or harvesting data in breach of its terms.

    We are aware this list requires judgement. Where a programme is lawful, disclosed and consented to (safety and moderation work, for instance, which necessarily handles material nobody wants to see), it is the purpose and the safeguards that decide it, not the subject matter alone. Ask before you build it, not after.

  4. 4The people doing the work

    Largwit routes work to people. If you run a programme here, you owe them the following, and we will enforce it.

    • Tell them what the work is. Anyone who may encounter distressing material must know that before they claim it, not after they have opened it.
    • Do not use the platform to conceal working conditions. Time limits, qualification bars and review standards are visible to the people held to them.
    • Do not punish accurate work. Sending work back has to record a reason. Using the return mechanism to avoid paying for work that met the standard is a breach of this policy.
    • Meet your obligations as an employer or engager wherever your workforce is. Largwit is not the employer of your contributors, and using it does not move that responsibility to us.
  5. 5Technical conduct

    • Do not probe, scan or test the security of the platform without written permission. See section 7 if you have found something.
    • Do not attempt to reach another customer’s environment, or any data you were not granted access to.
    • Do not share credentials, or let somebody use an account that is not theirs. Invite them properly; it takes less time than sharing a password.
    • Do not place a load on the platform designed to degrade it for others, and do not work around rate limits.
    • Do not resell access, or use the platform to build a competing service.
  6. 6How this is enforced

    Where we can, we start with a conversation. Most breaches are misunderstandings, and a suspended environment helps nobody.

    Where the breach is serious or continuing, we may suspend the account, the project or the person responsible, without notice where the risk requires it. We will tell the customer what we did and why as soon as we reasonably can.

    Child sexual abuse material is reported to the appropriate authority and the account is terminated. There is no warning step and no appeal.

  7. 7Reporting a problem

    Security vulnerabilities: hello@largwit.com. Tell us before you tell anyone else, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine finding in good faith and does not access or alter other people’s data while doing so.

    Misuse of the platform, including by a customer: hello@largwit.com. If you are a contributor reporting the conditions of a programme you were asked to work on, say so and it will be treated accordingly.
